First Bath

This week was a pretty fun one for Tyler. He got to spend a lot of time with his Great Grand Jagoes, who were wonderful to have around. He loved hanging out with them, and he loved it even more that his mommy was able to get some rest. On Wednesday, Tyler had his two week follow-up with his pediatrician. We noticed that some of his newborn clothes had started getting a little snug, so we had some suspicions that he may have gained some weight last week. We were absolutely correct. He weighed 9 pounds and 12 ounces, which was a full 17 ounces more than a week before. He and his mommy have this eating thing figured out! Because he's doing so well with gaining weight, our doctor said we can stop waking him up every three hours at night to feed him. That sounded awesome, but Tyler has since been waking himself up every two and one-half hours to eat. Obviously, he didn't get the memo.
It was also a treat to have Auntie Ho and Uncle Steve around Friday night and this morning. Tyler's friend, McMike, also came over and joined us all for pizza and some Louisville basketball action. Tyler is still a little confused about why UK isn't playing anymore, but he's excited about the program potentially moving back in the right direction. Holly and Steve were a big help in giving TK his first real bath this morning. As expected, he was a good boy and enjoyed the water. We may have a swimmer on our hands. Also, we all enjoy him smelling like baby shampoo. Unfortunately, we didn't get any pictures of Holly or Steve holding him this time, but Holly looked beautiful and Steven looked handsome. As for now, he's enjoying a meal and settling in for some Elite Eight basketball.
