We're not really sure where exactly the little fella learned the pouty lip, but it has become his new favorite trick. It started as his "innocent" attempt to get his way when we told him "no", but it has somehow developed into a skill that he will perform at request to see "the lip." He has mastered several different variations of "the lip" ranging from the classic sad pout (manipulative attempt to get his way) to the smout, which is a smile-pout hybrid he uses when he knows he's just being cute. He usually saves the smout for the ladies. As you will see below, "the lip" can be as subtle as a little upside down bottom lip or can be a deliberate full head tilt, next extension, and chin and lip protrusion, depending on how theatrical Tyler is feeling at the moment. Haha!! I am not sure how they do it, but they sure can perfect that pouty face. Just wait until he says "no dada, no mommy", that is Malia's favorite thing now days.
